Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Sportify GG (“Sportify GG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit the marketing website at sportify.gg (the “Website”) or use the application at app.sportify.gg (the “App”). The Website and App are referred to together as the “Services.”

Some provisions below apply only to the Website or only to the App — these are labeled accordingly. Everything else applies to both.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Email address: if you subscribe to our newsletter (Website) or create an App account.
• Account information (App only): username and password, or OAuth identifiers if you sign in via a third-party provider such as Google.
• Profile information (App only): avatar/profile image, team affiliations, and other details you choose to add.
• Communications: messages you send us for support or inquiries, as well as comments you post inside the App.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, links clicked, time on page, and general interaction data with the Website (collected via Google Analytics, see Section 3); actions taken and timestamps within the App.
• Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs.
• Cookies and similar technologies: used by Google Analytics to distinguish Website visitors and measure usage (see Sections 3 and 5); used by the App to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and support authentication (see Section 5).

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Send newsletter updates to subscribers who opt in (Website);
• Provide, operate, and maintain the App; authenticate users and manage accounts, tenants, and leagues (App);
• Understand how visitors use the Website and improve its content and performance (Website);
• Communicate with you about your account or the Services;
• Monitor and maintain the security of the Services;
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse (App);
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

3. Google Analytics (Website only)

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”), to understand how visitors interact with the Website. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior information in an anonymous form.

• We use Google’s Consent Mode. Until you accept via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, Google Analytics operates in a restricted, cookieless mode — it does not set cookies or store any identifier tied to you. If you accept, full cookie-based measurement is enabled; if you decline (or take no action), it stays restricted.
• The information generated by the cookie, once you’ve consented, is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States and elsewhere.
• We use this information to compile reports and help us improve the Website; we do not combine it with information that directly identifies you.
• You can withdraw consent at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the Website footer, or opt out entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. Third-Party Sign-In (App only)

If you choose to sign in to the App using a third-party identity provider (e.g., Google), we receive limited profile information (such as name and email) from that provider as permitted by your settings with them. We do not receive or store your third-party account password.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

• Website: only sets cookies from Google Analytics, and only after you accept them via the cookie banner — before that, Google Analytics runs in a restricted, cookieless mode as described in Section 3. Your choice (accepted or declined) is remembered in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask again on future visits; you can change it at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer.
• App: uses local storage and/or cookies to maintain login sessions and application state which are required for the App to properly function.

You may also control or block cookies through your browser settings.

6. Data Retention

• Newsletter subscriber emails (Website) are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Google Analytics data (Website) is retained according to the retention settings configured in our Google Analytics account, in line with Google’s own data retention policies.
• Account and usage data (App) is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see Section 12).

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including token-based authentication and encrypted storage of credentials in the App. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Content, Names, and Imagery Sourced from the Public Domain (App only)

Certain names, imagery, and data displayed within the App — including player and team names are used for identification purposes only, are sourced from publicly available material, and are intended solely to facilitate community, statistical, and organizational activity for online eSport leagues and tournaments. Such content:

• Is not owned, created, or claimed as original work by Sportify GG;
• Is displayed for informational, organizational, and community purposes only, and not for commercial resale of the underlying data itself;
• Remains the property of its respective rights holders, including Konami Digital Entertainment and/or its licensors, where applicable.

We do not sell, license, or resell this third-party data to any other party. If you are a rights holder and believe content displayed in the App should be removed or attributed differently, please contact us using the details in Section 12.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

• To unsubscribe from our newsletter (Website), use the unsubscribe option included in our emails, or contact us using the details in Section 12.
• To exercise other rights, including account deletion (App), contact us using the details in Section 12.

We will respond to requests within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Third-Party Links

The Services contain links to third-party sites, including our social media channels and, from the Website, the App. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit, including before creating an App account.
